Brooklyn's Birthday!

Happy Second Birthday Brooklyn!

My Baby is not so much of a baby anymore! She is two - talking - bossing - joking - singing - dancing - playing - drawing - counting - learning and growing - up - too fast!
We had the most wonderful Second Birthday Party to celebrate though, at a
KNEE HIGH MINIATURE HORSE FARM!!!
I was so excited about this party - in fact, Brooklyn didn't really know what was going on, but I spent hours making cupcakes that looked like horse heads, planning and inviting to this party.
The weather and company was perfect in every way! Judy even flew in for the weekend to be here for Brooklyn's Birthday! Here are the photos:

My dear friend from childhood Rochelle, who now lives in Chicago drove (a two hour drive each way with traffic) with her 3 kids and 8 months pregnant to the party! It was so fun to have her kids there and see her! A special thanks for your effort to come out!

While giving special thanks, I just have to thank Judy for coming and being here for Brooklyn's birthday! You are truly the most generous and wonderful Nai Nai there ever was! We have all loved having you here. I feel incredibly spoiled - first Fred, then not even a week later, we get Judy as a visitor! To add to the spoilage, Brooklyn now has a new winter wardrobe, I have a new Maternity wardrobe, and we are now stocked up for the winter after a delicious Costco and Sam's Club run! Like all my friends say, "Everyone needs a Judy" I'm sure glad I have you!

I wish I could put more photos up, but I guess I've hit my quota of photos that I can put up? Any suggestions from all those blogger experts out there?
Thanks for looking!

Hey Paige! Found you on Niki's blog. Loved the pictures. The cupcakes are so cute! My blog is private so you can email me at brandikoch@gmail.com and I will add you to the list. Oh, I think my friend reached her limit on pictures and had to pay I think 20 dollars and then you can add more pictures. Hopefully that helps. Did you find out if you are having a boy or a girl?

Option for a Healthy Birth

I am not typically a big writer on my blog. I usually just post a few dozen photos of my adorable child and make little comments below. Well, I need some sort of outlet for all of my frustrations and thoughts and would love some feedback on them. As many of you know, I ended up getting a C-section with Brooklyn after planning on a completely natural birth with the help of Hypnosis. That is a whole nother story, and I wont' go into it, but I learned a lot about the what I want and need to have a healthy delivery. After extensive research into the process of birth, I know that it is possible for me to have a beautiful, natural birth and the things that that entails really aren't extreme and are in fact proven to be healthier choices for both me and my baby. (For our book group this month, we are reading "Gentle Birth Choices" by Barbara Harper, which is one of several books I have read on the topic and one that I would highly recommend - as well as the documenary ...

Washington D.C.

So I am finally getting around to catching up on the blog! My excuse for not blogging for months is that life has been insane - don't we all have that excuse though? Here is a brief description of mine though. Blogs to come. October 10th, Trey left for DC and I had a few days to get everything together for 3 weeks away. I decided to bottle a dozen or so bottles of Grapejuice, throw a dinner party etc. But soon we were off. We spent 11 amazing days in DC with our INCREDIBLE friends the Boeys. They were so hospitable and fun! (Adding to the fun and craziness of it all, My Sister Brooke and her family just happened to be there at the same time, and my BYU roommate Sariah and BFF from Childhood Kelly both live there) (SEE BLOG) Straight from D.C., we went to Georgia for 5 days to visit Trey's Grandparents. It was amazing and I will blog soon about that! Spent Halloween there As soon as I got home, my dear companion from Taiwan was in town, so I met up with her and 2 of my oth...
