4 Month Check-up - Still off the Charts!!!

Yesterday we went in for Brooklyn's 4 month Doctor check up and she even more off the charts in height than last time at 27 inches, is a wopping 17.1 lb (97th Percentile) , and about the 98th percentile for head circumference!
I counted her rolls yesterday and she has between 25 and 30 luscius, juicy rolls, (depending on what you consider a roll) including neck rolls and back of the knee rolls!
She is healthy and strong - and in our humble opionion the most perfect, wonderful baby on the face of the earth! (We're not biased or anything)

Here are some photos of those gorgeous rolls we are so proud of! All thanks to the BYU Creamery (AKA Mommy)!

She's flexing for ya!

P.S. These are the Biodegradable diapers I use now that I found at the Health-Food store! They are Biodegraadable - so they take 20 years to decompose rather than 200 (Huggies, Pampers etc. take 200!), are Chlorine free, work just as well as other diapers, and basically are healthier for baby and the earth! They are only a few cents more expensive/diaper - well worth the cost! These ones are made by Seventh Generation.

Holy cow! Such yummy baby fat! I took Andrew in for his 4 month (okay, so I was almost a month late) on the 17th and he was 14 lbs 8 oz, and 26.7 inches. Brooklyn's got him totally beat.

Brooklyn is unbelievable! And so cute. I'll be visiting in in February, so we'll have to get her and Aubrey side by side, we'll just have to make sure Aubrey doesn't disappear into one of Brooklyn's 30 juicy rolls!

Ugh, I hate how many diapers I throw away everyday. I had looked into using the seventh generation diapers a while ago, but their website says that they aren't any more biodegradable then most diapers (under FAQs). You should check out gdiapers.com - they are like a disposable/cloth hybrid. They're super cute and break down quickly. The down side is that they are SUPER expensive. Over $0.40 a diaper, plus you need several diaper pants (Costco diapers are $0.12!). Anyways, I'm still tempted to order some of the G diapers, but I know I can't afford to use them 24/7.

Option for a Healthy Birth

I am not typically a big writer on my blog. I usually just post a few dozen photos of my adorable child and make little comments below. Well, I need some sort of outlet for all of my frustrations and thoughts and would love some feedback on them. As many of you know, I ended up getting a C-section with Brooklyn after planning on a completely natural birth with the help of Hypnosis. That is a whole nother story, and I wont' go into it, but I learned a lot about the what I want and need to have a healthy delivery. After extensive research into the process of birth, I know that it is possible for me to have a beautiful, natural birth and the things that that entails really aren't extreme and are in fact proven to be healthier choices for both me and my baby. (For our book group this month, we are reading "Gentle Birth Choices" by Barbara Harper, which is one of several books I have read on the topic and one that I would highly recommend - as well as the documenary ...

Washington D.C.

So I am finally getting around to catching up on the blog! My excuse for not blogging for months is that life has been insane - don't we all have that excuse though? Here is a brief description of mine though. Blogs to come. October 10th, Trey left for DC and I had a few days to get everything together for 3 weeks away. I decided to bottle a dozen or so bottles of Grapejuice, throw a dinner party etc. But soon we were off. We spent 11 amazing days in DC with our INCREDIBLE friends the Boeys. They were so hospitable and fun! (Adding to the fun and craziness of it all, My Sister Brooke and her family just happened to be there at the same time, and my BYU roommate Sariah and BFF from Childhood Kelly both live there) (SEE BLOG) Straight from D.C., we went to Georgia for 5 days to visit Trey's Grandparents. It was amazing and I will blog soon about that! Spent Halloween there As soon as I got home, my dear companion from Taiwan was in town, so I met up with her and 2 of my oth...
